Long-time Cisco exec departs

Long-time Cisco Systems executive Bruce Klein has left the company after more than a decade with the tech giant.

Details were scarce on where Klein is headed next. He could not be reached for comment, and a Cisco spokeswoman was not at liberty to say.

His last day with the company was July 27. Wendy Bahr has stepped into his role as senior vice president of Cisco’s global partner organization.

Klein was promoted to that position in August 2012 after nearly eight years leading Cisco’s public sector business.

Prior to joining Cisco in November 2004, Klein was the vice president of federal sales at Hewlett-Packard, where he had worked since November of 1983, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Bahr also is a long-time Cisco executive, having joined the company in September 2000.

As the senior vice president of the global partner organization, Bahr is responsible for managing and supporting Cisco’s 60,000 global partners including systems integrators, value-added resellers, distributors and other technology partners.

Since August 2012, she was senior vice president of the Americas partner organization, which covered the United States, Canada and Latin America.

Also during her career at Cisco, she was operations director of federal civilian agencies.
