NCI chairman and CEO Charles Narang is stepping down from his position of CEO, effective Oct. 1, 2015.

Narang will retain his position as chairman of the board.

Brian Clark, current NCI president, will add on the CEO role after Narang steps down.

Narang founded the company in 1989 and has served as chairman and CEO ever since. Under his leadership, the company transitioned into a publicly traded company.

Clark has served as president since 2012. He joined the company in 2011 as chief financial officer after a stint at CGI Group, a company he joined after his company, Stanley Inc., was acquired by CGI in 2010. He has also held positions at Titan Corp.

Clark said that as CEO he will be looking for new "strategic avenues" for NCI including acquisitions.

“We remain confident in NCI’s future prospects and we have the capital, liquidity and right team in place to execute our existing business plan," he said in a statement.
