TSA releases RFP for 8-year, $70m IDIQ for employee assessment system
The Transportation Security Administration released a request for proposals June 19 for an eight-year, $70 million contract to create and host an IT-based catalog for assessing employees for various positions throughout the agency.
The Transportation Security Administration released a request for proposals June 19 for an eight-year, $70 million contract to create and host an IT-based catalog for assessing employees for various positions throughout the agency.
TSA will use the Catalog of Assessments and Testing Systems (CATS) to evaluate candidates to be transportation security officers (TSOs) and Federal Air Marshals, as participants in the Screening Partnership Program, and management and executive-level positions.
TSA requires the CATS to be commercial-off-the-shelf technology which must integrate and interface with all TSA hiring systems, and the Learning Management System.
Officials expect 125,000 certification tests annually for TSA’s current TSO workforce, with roughly 100,000 of them conducted online. Officials also expect 58,000 selection and promotion assessments each year, and nearly 25,000 various other assessments per year.
TSA plans to award one eight-year, $70 million indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract.
TSA released the RFP June 19. Responses are due by July 20.
