Phase One Consulting takes on private equity owner
Phase One Consulting has been acquired by the private equity group RLJ Equity Partners as it looks for new growth opportunities.
Phase One Consulting Group is entering into a new era with its recent acquisition by RLJ Equity Partners.
The company’s current CEO, Jerad Speigel, will continue to lead the company. He said the acquisition by RLJ will expand its growth capabilities. RLJ was founded by Robert L. Johnson and the Carlyle Group.
Phase One is a provider of IT consulting services and works in areas such as IT strategy, organizational transformation, strategic communications, process and business analysis, solution architecture and engineering, agile development and cybersecurity. Some of its customers include the departments of Transportation, Education and Interior.
Often, the company supports the CIO’s office at the agencies on modernization efforts including migration to the cloud.
LBC Credit Partners provides senior debt financing. Enlightenment Capital provided mezzanine debt financiaing. Both LBC and Enlightenment also made equity investments in the company.
Bluestone Capital Partners was the financial advisor to Phase One for this transaction.
