Let the OASIS competitions begin

The General Services Administration has officially opened for business all parts of the huge OASIS contract for high end professional services.

In late June, GSA issued the notice to proceed for the OASIS Small Business contract, and today, the notice to proceed was issued for the full and open OASIS contract.

The notice to proceed for the two $60 billion contracts had been delayed because of court challenges and bid protests.

All the cases before the Court of Federal Claims and the Government Accountability Office have been resolved in GSA’s favor.

“OASIS and OASIS SB have already become the solutions of choice for some of our customers. These solutions have great potential to provide agencies with more flexible full-service contract vehicle options while driving down costs for the American taxpayer,” GSA Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Tom Sharpe said in a statement.

The Air Force is expected to be a big user of the contracts, with GSA estimating $1.4 billion in work flowing through OASIS annually from the Air Force.
