What are your top LPTA questions?

Find opportunities — and win them.

Get ready to debate the merits of lowest price, technical acceptable contracting at our first WT Power Breakfast. We'll explore the pros and cons and survival strategies of LPTA.

Our live, in-person event to discuss lowest price, technically acceptable contract is set for Tuesday at the Tower Club in Tysons Corner, Va.

We’ve been working on questions for our panelists, and they’ll spark a good debate as we hold our first WT Power Breakfast.

Topping my list are questions that get at the impact of LPTA on contractors as well as the government.

What are some of the strategies that companies are adopting to cope?

Is LPTA ever in a contractors best interest?

Who gets hit harder – incumbents or challengers?

We should get some government perspective on the topic as well – Why is LPTA a good idea for them?

Maybe that’s where we should start the discussion.

A lot of focus with LPTA is often on the first part of the term – lowest price – but what about technically acceptable. Is that meaningful at all?

There also is a pass-fail aspect to LPTA. That has to have some serious implications.

Our panelists will be discussing these and other LPTA topics and I urge you to join.

The panel will consist of Bob Lohfeld of Lohfeld Consulting, Steve Charles of ImmixGroup and Lenn Vincent, retired vice admiral and Forrestal-Richardson Industry Chair at the Defense Acquisition University.

The event is free to WT Insiders and government personnel. Others will pay $49.

I look forward to seeing you there.
