Matrix Research Corp. has won a $36 million contract to provide the Air Force with research and development.

Under the contract, Matrix Research Corp. will address problems of concurrent detection, tracking, imaging, and classification/identification of targets within contested and challenging environments.
Services will include development of models, hardware, software, algorithms and techniques spanning basic, applied and advanced research for both active and passive sensing, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed in Dayton, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by May 16, 2021.
