Two firms win $330M in Navy air traffic management contracts

Midwest Air Traffic Control Service Inc. and Readiness Management Support have picked up Navy air traffic management contracts worth a combined value of up to $330 million.

Companies in Kansas and Florida have picked up Navy air traffic management contracts worth a combined value of up to $330.3 million.

Midwest Air Traffic Control Service Inc. of Overland Park, Kan., and Readiness Management Support LC of Panama City, Fla., will be tasked with a range of air traffic management functions, including radar equipment maintenance, airfield management and command and control operations and maintenance.

The base value for the contracts is $109.9 million.

Work will be performed in Southwest Asia and is slated to wrap up in April 2015, or April 2019 with options.
