Lockheed cyber group continues growth

Lockheed Martin’s Cyber Security Alliance continues to grow as the company has added another firm to its group to foster cybersecurity best practices.

CyberPoint International has become the 23rd company to join the alliance since it was launched in 2009.

CyberPoint develops solutions and products focused on advanced persistent threats.

“Like CyberPoint, we are focused on meeting the increasing demands of our global customers with sophisticated cyber security solutions in places like the Middle East, where cyber security activity is intense,” said Roger Mann, managing director, Middle East, Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions.

CyberPoint is based in Baltimore, and its offerings include malware analysis and reverse engineering, digital forensics, risk analysis, and high performance computing and data analytics.

Lockheed Martin created the Cyber Security Alliance as a form for companies to come together and collaborate on best practices, hardware, software and tolls within Lockheed’s NexGen Cyber Innovation and Technology centers.

Other members of the alliance include ArcSight, CA, Cisco, Citrix, Dell, EMC Corp. and its RSA security division, FireEye, HP, Intel, Juniper Networks, McAfee, Microsoft, NetApp, RedHat, Schneider Electric, Splunk, Symantec, Trustwave, Verizon and VMware.

“We know that one company or solution alone can’t solve the global cyber security challenges we face and it will take collaboration, cooperation and the collective strengths of a diverse array of leading technology companies to innovate and deliver seamless solutions,” said Mark Raugas, director of CyberPoint Labs.
