Six win $80M SEC modernization contract

Six small businesses have won spots on an $80 million SEC contract to help the agency modernize its IT capabilities.
Six small businesses have won spots on an $80 million Securities and Exchange Commission contract to help the SEC modernize its IT capabilities.
The contract, known as the Division Information Office Application Modernization and Development Support (DIOMDS) contract, was won by:
- Dovel Technologies
- Niksoft Systems Corp.
- Snap Inc.
- Pyramid Systems
- IS-AIS Joint Venture
- Advanced Software Systems Inc.
The contract was originally awarded in September, but a bid protest delayed its start until the beginning of the year.
So far, $2.4 million in task orders have been awarded, with a $1.4 million award to Dovel and $1 million in awards to Advanced Software Systems, according to Deltek.
Dovel announced its teammates this week, which includes Acentia and Ascella Technologies.
“This is a huge win for Dovel as the work falls completely within our core competency of innovative software development,” said Paul Leslie, Dovel CEO, in a statement. “Our team brings experience supporting the SEC and we look forward to help the agency quickly implement solutions around today’s challenges – modernizing legacy systems and developing new user-friendly system capabilities.”
Among the services offered through the contract are:
- Software upgrades and enhancements
- Application reengineering and modernization
- New application development
- Configuration deployment and testing
- System specifications and knowledge transfer
