L-3 wins $58.5M contract for Navy aircraft training
L-3 Communications has won a $58.5 million contract to support the Navy’s T45TS aircraft training system.
L-3 Communications has won a $58.5 million contract to support the Navy’s T45TS aircraft training system.
The T45TS is an integrated training system and is part of the training of naval aviation aircrew in precision engagement of enemy forces, according to a Navy website.
It is intended to support the Joint Vision 2020 objectives preparing joint warriors to meet the challenges of future battlespace by ensuring that they are properly trained.
Under the contract, L-3 will provide logistics services and materials for organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance required to support the system.
Work will be performed in Kingsville, Texas, Meridian, Miss., and Pensacola, Fla., and is expected to be completed by July 2014.
