HP wins $548M contract defense data center

HP Enterprise Services has won a $548 million task order to provide maintenance and support for the Defense Manpower Data Center’s mission-critical hardware and software around the globe.

The Defense Department’s Defense Manpower Data Center supports mission activities. Under the contract, HP will provide commercial-off-the-shelf hardware support services, as well as software, maintenance and integration services.

HP will help the data center keep its infrastructure current, and will support its identity management for service members, contractors and civilians, the company said in a release.

The company will additionally oversee the hardware and software that the data center uses in daily operations, including servers, PCs, laptops, handhelds, printers, scanners, biometric devices and cameras.

HP has been supporting the data center for more than 30 years.
