Salient taps new director of Middle East operations

Salient Federal Solutions has named James Hetherington director of Middle East operations, where he will lead the company’s Saudi business office and manage the company’s international training organization.

The group supports U.S. Air Force foreign military sales, managing multiple programs supporting the Royal Saudi Air Force, the company said.

Hetherington joins Salient from the Air Force, where he served as division chief, International Airmen Division for the Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs.

Before that, he served as a military advisor to the U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia and his staff. He also was responsible for the execution of Defense Department policy in Saudi Arabia, Salient said in a release.
