CGI wins $32.8M visa processing contract

CGI Federal racks up another visa processing contract thanks to its Stanley Associates subsidiary. This one is worth $32.8 million and covers several European countries.

CGI Federal, through its Stanley Associates subsidiary, has won a five-year, $32.8 million contract to support visa processing for the U.S. State Department in several European countries.

CGI's first task will be to establish a global support strategy for visa services in Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and Finland.

A second objective of the contract is to provide information services, appointment services, fee collection, document delivery and greater services for visa work in Germany and Switzerland.

A third objective is to establish similar services in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and Finland.

Visa and passport processing services were a core capability of Stanley when CGI acquired the company in 2010. The company is doing work for the State Department in countries such as China and Russia, as well as other countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
