AT&T nabs two contracts totaling $53.5M to service the U.S. Postal Service

AT&T has won two contracts with the U.S. Postal Service totaling $53.5 million to enhance the service’s data network connectivity and to provide trusted internet protocol service at the service’s headquarters.

The first contract is worth more than $50 million and will have AT&T enhancing USPS’s data network connectivity to its retail and support locations nationwide.

The second, worth $3.5 million, will provide USPS with AT&T’s Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service at the service’s Washington-based headquarters and at two of its major data centers in California and Minnesota, AT&T said in a release.

The Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service was developed by the General Services Administration to allow federal agencies to connect securely to the public internet, the company said.
