Two small business capture $36M in Navy communications work
Design West Technologies and Systems Engineering Support Company have won a contract to provide the Navy with communication assemblies in a pair of contracts worth $36 million.
Design West Technologies and Systems Engineering Support Company have both won contracts of varying values with the U.S. Navy to produce communication assemblies.
Design West Technologies’ contract is worth $20.9 million. Systems Engineering Support Company’s contract is worth $15.2 million. The two companies will compete for task orders under the contracts.
Under the contract, the companies will produce, assemble, test and package Communication Transponder Family of Systems communication assemblies composed of printed circuit boards, electronic components and external enclosures, the Defense Department said.
Work will be performed in Tustin, Calif., and San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 14, 2018.
