Accenture Federal Services has won a $64 million blanket purchase agreement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to integrate Oracle Development Services for IT functions.
The SEC wants to improve the systems used by companies and individuals who need to file registrations, and meet compliance and examination requirements. The regulatory agency also is looking for increased efficiency for data sharing.
“Meeting the changing needs of its clients by leveraging and improving technology remains a top priority for the SEC," said Ed Meehan, who leads Accenture's federal civilian agency business.
"This work will help the agency better connect its customers to essential information, services and benefits, significantly improving their experiences when interacting with the federal government," he said.
The BPA has a one-year base with four option years, and will help the SEC build a more modern, standardized system that will create cost savings, improve performance and simplify online interactions, Accenture said.
The company qualified for work in three categories:
-
System development, integration, maintenance, implementation and enhancements
-
Infrastructure, application and solution architecture management
-
Business consulting IT services
