URS Federal wins sole-source $18.8M contract for electronic warfare support
URS Federal has won a task order contract with the U.S. Navy to support its Spectrum Electronic Warfare Department with engineering, technical and programmatic support.
URS Federal Technical Services has won an $18.8 million sole-source ask order contract for engineering, technical and programmatic support for the Navy’s Spectrum Electronic Warfare Department.
Under the fixed-price contract, URS will provide research and development support; system engineering and process engineering; modeling, simulation, and analysis; prototyping, pre-production, model-making and fabrication support; system design documentation and technical data support; software engineering, development, programming and network support; and reliability, maintainability and availability.
The company will also provide human factors, performance and usability engineering; system safety engineering; configuration management; quality assurance; interoperability, test and evaluation, trials; logistics; supply and provisioning; training; and program support.
Work will be performed in Crane, Ind., and is expected to be completed by June 2014.
The contract includes foreign military sales to Afghanistan, Iraq and Australia, the Defense Department said.
Funds in the amount of $896,700 were obligated at the time of the award, and will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
