Four will battle for millions to support defense readiness system

Four companies have won contracts of varying values with the U.S. Navy to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Defense Readiness Support System.

The companies will compete for task orders to support the Defense Readiness Support System by providing systems engineering, integration, test and evaluation, lifecycle support and the technical support services required to augment readiness programs and projects.

The companies and contract values are:

• Gryphon Technologies -- $78.5 million (base: $46.4 million)
• InnovaSystems International -- $75.6 million (base: $44.2 million)
• Science Applications International Corp. -- $68.2 million (base: $40.2 million)
• Concurrent Technologies Corp. -- $61.7 million (base: $36.5 million)

The companies will also provide market research of commercial and military hardware or software for use with readiness reporting and management or associated interface programs and other integrated systems and equipment, the Defense Department said. 

Work will take at each of the contractors' facilities, and at government facilities in National Capitol region, and is expected to be completed by June 2016. 

Five bids were received for this contract.
