China hack reveals dam vulnerabilities
Due to a recent hack by China, 8,100 major U.S. dam vulnerabilities were revealed. The Obama Administration needs to get more serious about cyberattacks and countermeasures, according to TribLive.
The United States’ recent focus on cybersecurity efforts might not be intense enough, according to TribLive, as a recent Chinese hack of a database revealed to China that the U.S. has 8,100 major dam vulnerabilities.
These dams produce hydroelectric power, so the threat goes far beyond just the security of the dams, TribLive reported.
The Obama Administration needs to step up cybersecurity efforts to ensure that such hacks stop occurring in the United States, lest there be even worse consequences.
