Booz Allen, Coherent Technical Services win Navy command, control contracts

Booz Allen Hamilton and Coherent Technical Services have both won a contract to provide services in support of the Navy's C4ISR system applications.

Booz Allen Hamilton and Coherent Technical Services have won three-year task order contracts with the U.S. Navy to support emerging navigation technologies for air and shipboard C4ISR system applications.

The contract values are:

Booz Allen Hamilton -- $30.9 million
Coherent Technical Services -- $29 million

Under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts, the companies will provide project management, systems engineering, integration, requirements analysis, basic research, development, testing and life-cycle sustainment of both software and hardware related to emerging and existing technologies, the Defense Department said in a release.

If options are exercised, the contract values will rise to:

Booz Allen Hamilton -- $52.7 million
Coherent Technical Services -- $49.5 million

Booz Allen Hamilton will perform its work in Annapolis, Md., San Diego, Calif., and Los Angeles, Calif.

Coherent Technical Services will perform its work in Lexington Park, Md., San Diego, Calif., and in Los Angeles, Calif.

Work is expected to be completed by May 5, 2016.

Contract funds will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
