15 small-biz teams win $22B DHS Eagle 2 awards

Fifteen companies will compete for task orders under the $22 billion DHS Eagle 2 contract to provide IT program support services such as strategic planning, enterprise architecture and data management. We breakdown the winners and their teammates.
The Homeland Security Department has made 15 small-business awards under its $22 billion Eagle II contract.
The companies will be competing with each other in the small business track of functional category 2, which covers IT program support. The contract has a five-year base with a two-year option.
The fifteen winners and Core teammates are:

All the core teammates are small businesses as well, which was a requirement of the Eagle 2 request for proposals.
The IT program support category includes services such as capital planning, strategic planning, workforce planning, budget execution, performance management, enterprise architecture, data management, information sharing, information security, training, enterprise resource management, business process re-engineering, IT transformation and strategy, organizational change management, and program management office support.
The other functional categories are for independent test, validation, verification and evaluation (category 3) and service delivery such as integration, software development and operations and maintenance (category 1).
Awards in category 3 have already been made, but category 1 awards are still pending.
