QinetiQ North America names new president and COO

QinetiQ North America has named Gary Slack president and chief operating officer, marking the second high-profile promotion that the company has made in two months.

In the middle of February, the company named JD Crouch CEO following the retirement of Duane Andrews on March 31.

Slack joined the company in August 2012, serving as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He will continue to serve as CFO on an interim basis, the company said in a release.

Before QinetiQ, Slack worked as president of BAE Systems’ Combat Systems business. Prior to BAE, he was director of group finance for TRW’s Systems and Information Technology Group.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Longwood University.
