TSA forms industry ‘engagement’ group

The Transportation Security Administration and the non-profit, Washington Homeland Security Roundtable, have formed an industry engagement group to increase interaction between TSA and the private sector.

The roundtable is a non-profit organization of individuals from companies who work in the homeland security market, providing support for policies, practices, procedures and procurements.

TSA and the roundtable formed an industry forum in June, and this industry engagement group is part of that outreach effort, according to the announcement on FedBizOpps.gov.

The industry engagement group will focus on identifying methods and processes with which TSA will engage industry on acquisitions. The group will not discuss specific acquisitions or TSA programs.

The first group meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon at TSA headquarters.
