Abt Associates will provide technical support services to EPA's Office of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds to protect the condition of watersheds nationwide.

Abt Associates has won a $107.8 million contract to provide technical support for assessment and watershed protection to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds.

“This contract will permit Abt to support watershed protection and improve water quality in many ways – much like we have done for the Chesapeake Bay and Florida rivers, lakes and estuaries—but on a broader and deeper scale,” said Mike Conti, vice president of Abt’s Environment & Resources Division.

The company said that the Office of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds works to protect U.S. marine and fresh water ecosystems, such as watersheds, coastal ecosystems and wetlands.

Services under the contract include environmental sciences, modeling, data management and economic and policy analysis.

The company is ranked No. 67 on the 2012 Washington Technology Top 100 list of the largest government contractors.
