Ten small businesses win $98.7M C5ISR contract with Navy

Ten small businesses have won $98.7 million task order contracts to provide command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance electronics and communications services to the U.S. Navy.

Small businesses on the bill are as follow:

• Advanced C4 Solutions Inc.
• By Light Professional IT Services Inc.
• Cybrix Group Inc.
• GStek Inc.
• Juno Technologies Inc.
• Mercom Inc.
• Mystikal Solutions LLC
• STARGATES Inc.
• Syneren Technologies Corp.

The contracts are cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based, multiple-award contracts, with provisions for fixed-price-incentive and firm-fixed price orders. The companies will compete for work under the contract.

The funding will support of mission capabilities within the transport and computing infrastructure portfolio, including research, development, test, evaluation, production and fielding of sustainable, secure, survivable and interoperable C5ISR, information operations, enterprise information services and space capabilities.

The base year is valued at $19.7 million. Exercising options will bring the value up to the full $98.7 million.

Work is expected to be completed by 2013, or by 2017 if options are exercised, and will take place worldwide.

Contract funds in the amount of $10,000 will be obligated at the time of the award, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013, according to a Defense Department announcement.

Proposals for the contract were submitted via the Commerce Business Daily’s Federal Business Opportunities website, as well as through the Space and Naval Warfare Systems E-Commerce Central website. Seventeen offers were received.
