Pragmatics appoints former Stanley exec as new CFO

Pragmatics has appointed Michael Zaramba to the position of chief financial officer. He will report to the company’s CEO, Long Nguyen.

In his new role, Zaramba will be responsible for Pragmatics’ financial operations, such as corporate accounting, financial strategy and business planning, and will oversee tax functions and corporate acquisitions.

Zaramba was most recently president of Altron Inc., where he orchestrated, negotiated and closed the firm’s merger with Provident Analysis Corp. He chaired the executive committee and served on the company’s board of directors.

Before Altron, he served as both CFO and chief strategy officer at Stanley Inc., where he played an instrumental part in taking the company public, Pragmatics said.

His expertise includes finance and accounting, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and risk management and compliance.
