SAIC wins $24.4M Army contract for counter insurgency program

Science Applications International Corp. won a $24.4 million sole source contract with the U.S. Army to provide services in support of the Counter Insurgency Targeting Program.

Under the firm-fixed-price contract, work is to be performed in Charlottesville, Va., and in Afghanistan, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 29.

The program provides counter insurgency network analysis and targeting, counter improvised explosive device targeting and related intelligence and operational support.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, III., is the contracting activity.
