22 small businesses win $500M NIH marketing contract

Twenty-two companies will compete for communication and marketing work under a $500 million National Insitutes of Health contract.

The National Institutes of Health has awarded 22 contracts worth a total of $500 million to small businesses that can provide communication and marketing services to government agencies.

Using the FedBizOpps.gov website and the Deltek market research database, Washington Technology has been able to identify 17 of the winners of the Public Information and Communication Services contract, also known as PICS. The winners identified so far:

  • AFYA Inc.
  • Betah Associates
  • Capital Consulting Corp.
  • Circle Solutions Inc.
  • CSR
  • ES International
  • Information Ventures Inc.
  • IQ Solutions
  • JBS International Inc.
  • J.R. Reingold and Associates Inc.
  • Kauffman and Associates Inc.
  • Lux Consulting
  • Palladian Partners Inc.
  • PSA Inc.
  • Scientific Consulting Group
  • Seamon Corp.

The contract has one base year worth $100 million, and four one-year options that would bring the total ceiling to $500 million. The winning contractors will compete for task orders under the contract.

According to NIH’s announcement, the contract will be used for media, communication and information dissemination.

So far, one protest has been filed by Hager Sharp Inc. A decision is due by Dec. 24, according to the Government Accountability Office website.
