Washington Technology sister publication GCN names its 10 IT achievement awards, picking the best projects in federal, state and local government.

Ten federal information technology projects have won IT achievement awards from Washington Technology’s sister publication, GCN.

Ranging from masterfully executed enterprise turnarounds to projects reflecting the need for shared services, these ten projects “found ways to meet their objectives and succeed in a difficult financial environment,” said Kshemendra Paul, one of the six judges for the current year’s awards.

The 10 winning projects and their organizations are as follow:

  • Texas Permitting and Routing Optimizing System, Texas Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Supertracker, USDA Food Nutrition and Consumer Services
  • Arlington National Cemetery Explorer, Arlington National Cemetery
  • Multi-Domain Dissemination System, Defense Intelligence Agency
  • Global Logistics Modernization with Federated Private Cloud, U.S. Marine Corps
  • Department of Defense Enterprise E-mail, Defense Information Systems Agency
  • Pension System Resumption Recovery Project, California Public Employees’ Retirement System
  • National Broadband Map, Federal Communications Commission/National Telecommunication and Information Administration
  • Virtual Remote Interpreting Initiative, Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida
  • DHS Common Operating Picture, U.S. Homeland Security Department
