TASC wins $18.6M contract for engineering and technical services

TASC Inc. has won a $13.9 million contract to provide engineering and technical services for the Ship Defense Expeditionary Warfare Department, Naval Surveillance Radar division.

The contract could potentially total $18.6 million if all options are exercised.

Under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, TASC will provide naval surveillance radar acquisition, engineering and logistic support services in the following locations:

• Virginia Beach, Va.
• Wallops Island, Va.
• Washington, D.C.
• San Diego, Calif.
• Yokosuka, Japan
• Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

This contract was not competitively procured, and contract funds in the amount of $1 million will expire at the end of fiscal 2012.

Work is expected to be completed by April 2013.
