Polycom reorgs public sector business
Polycom brings together its federal, state and local, education, health care and grants units into single entity.
Polycom Inc. has launched a new public sector business organization that combines several sales groups into one.
Its federal, state and local, education, health care and grants are now one group, the company said.
Barry Morris will lead the group as president, Polycom Public Sector. Previously, he had been running the federal business group.
The company said it has been successful in the federal space with its video collaboration technology, and sees growing opportunities in health care and education.
“[With] the unique video-enabled use cases of these markets, it became clear to us that we needed to grow our investments in and focus on the greater public sector space,” said Andy Miller, Polycom president and CEO.
The new public sector group will be based in Herndon, Va.
