HP wins $41M agreement for license and registration system
HP will develop and implement processes for the Minnesota Licensing and Registration System.
HP Enterprise Services has won a $41 million system-integration agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety to develop a new license and registration system for the department’s Driver and Vehicle Services Division.
The new system, called the Minnesota Licensing and Registration System, is an integrated motor vehicle and driver’s license service that will improve the accuracy and efficiency of processes such as licensing, vehicle titling and registration and inspection processes, the company said.
The system will also hold 6.4 million vehicle records and 4.1 million driver history records. It is designed to improve access to this information, as well as the information’s overall accuracy and security. It will also allow self-service transactions, where customers may enter information themselves.
It will be released over a four-year period in four phases.
