Red River nabs $500M contract for Cisco support

Red River to provide technical and professional engineering services for Cisco products to the U.S. Army.

Red River has won an enterprise service agreement worth $500 million to help  the U.S. Army with Cisco SMARTnet support services.

The agreement provides full lifecycle support, including technical and professional engineering services. The contract has a one-year base and four one-year options.

Red River provides IT products and services to the government and health care sectors. Working with Cisco, the company will provide progress and status reporting, risk identification, risk handling and risk mitigation strategies.
 
Don Neault, vice president for Cisco Public Sector Advanced Services, said that the collaboration of Cisco and Red River will “offer an innovative support model that serves the Army’s efforts to modernize the network, drive greater efficiency and ultimately improve national defense.”

Echoing Neault’s sentiment, Doug Purcell, vice president of Cisco Public Sector Services Sales, commented on how red River will help in “driving greater efficiency and maintaining its national security efforts as the central focus.”
