Force 3 acquisition adds medical imaging solutions
Thanks to the secureRAD acquisition, Force 3 will offer medical professional clients and health care organizations off-the-shelf hardware and cloud-based software solutions.
Force 3 has acquired secureRAD, a provider of solutions for the medical imaging industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Force 3 currently provides an imaging solution for the military dental market. Its customers and projects in health care include its Digital Dental Radiography solution, which is used at 150 military bases around the world.
SecureRAD’s suite of products lets medical professionals and health care organizations use off-the-shelf hardware and cloud-based software solutions at a lower cost, the company said.
With the acquisition, Force 3 expands into commercial health care and veterinary solutions.
Force 3 also gains the technology, talent and customer relationships of a growing health care IT provider, letting the company expand into medical management, and display solutions, a market estimated to reach $6.55 billion in 2012, according to the announcement.
Founded by Phillip Jackson and Mark Baganz of Chesapeake Medical Imaging, secureRAD’s current customers include the Veterans Affairs Health Administration.
Jackson will join Force 3 as an employee while Baganz will be an advisor to the company.
