DRC twin tasks help IRS validate credit card systems

Dynamics Research Corp. is providing independent verification and validation services to the Internal Revenue Service under two task orders valued at a total of $10.2 million, according to the company's June 20 announcement. 

The task orders were awarded under the Total Information Processing Support Services contract, known as TIPSS-4, a primary procurement vehicle for technology-related services within IRS and other Treasury Department agencies. 

Under the most recent task order, the company will provide independent verification and validation services to validate the IRS Credit Card Processor's systems and ensure the protection of taxpayer data, maintain secure credit card operations, and enhance the current production environment.

DRC also will be responsible for the system readiness and accuracy of the credit card program.

This award, which is new business for DRC, is worth $2.4 million and has a 5-year period of performance.

Under a previous award, the company is providing independent verification and validation services and web-based reports and metadata services for the IRS Office of Research supporting the Enforcement Revenue Information System and the Compliance Data Warehouse.

This task order, which was a continuation of work being performed by the company, is worth for $7.8 million and also has a 5-year period of performance.
