Deloitte buys e-discovery firm for fed litigation support
Combining the two firms' e-discovery capabilities will result in expanded solutions for government clients.
Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP, a subsidiary of Deloitte LLP, has acquired substantially all the assets of IE Discovery, a provider of electronic discovery management and litigation support solutions that primarily serves federal government clients.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the June 25 announcement.
"By combining Deloitte's strong existing e-discovery capabilities with IE Discovery's deep experience in discovery management and litigation support, we will offer expanded solutions to our federal government clients," CEO David Williams said in the announcement.
Deloitte has more than 500 professionals who provide analytic and forensic technology services in the United States, including e-discovery and, together with the other subsidiaries of Deloitte LLP, have more than 6,600 professionals serving federal agencies, the announcement said.
Founded in 1990, IE Discovery provides a full spectrum of innovative, high quality, cost efficient e-discovery services so that government and legal teams can focus on formulating and executing case strategy.
IE Discovery’s headquarters are in Austin, Texas, with additional offices in Arlington, Va.
Deloitte, of New York City, ranks No. 27 on Washington Technology’s 2012 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
