Vistronix adds app development director to expand federal sales
Former GDIT executive also charged with finding new business markets and agencies.
Vistronix Inc., an IT and managed services provider to the government, has hired Rita Hawkins as director of enterprise application development.
She will report to Executive Vice President and COO Kevin Wideman and be responsible for helping Vistronix expand its application development line of business and grow into new business markets and agencies.
Hawkins has 25 years of strategic planning, systems engineering, IT and program management experience supporting federal and civilian agencies. She has managed all phases of IT projects from needs analysis and requirements definition to vendor selection, implementation, and training, the company’s March 27 announcement said.
She comes to Vistronix from General Dynamics Information Technology, where she was director of business development for clients in the Transportation Department and Federal Aviation Administration.
Hawkins holds a bachelor of science degree in Mathematics from Dillard University and an MBA from Monmouth University with a concentration in Management Information Systems.
