New hire expected to drive Catapult's growth

Company says the addition of its new chief marketing officer is a move toward its overall aggressive vision of growth.

Banking on the fact that his 25-year career will make an impact on Catapult Technology’s continued growth in the mid-tier federal contracting market, the IT contracting firm hired a new chief marketing officer, it announced in a March 20 news release.

Adam L. Wieder, the former executive vice president of DKW Communications, joins the Bethesda, Md.-based company effective immediately and will report to Chief Operating Officer Mark Hunker. Some of his future goals include new revenue generation, cost reduction, and risk mitigation, according to the announcement.

"With twenty-five years in the delivery of services and solutions to the federal government, we are confident that Adam will apply this experience, plus his keen analytical and research skills and creative solutions, to the thriving Catapult organization," Hunker said.

In his new role, he will work with the company’s business developments teams as well as shape market and sales strategies and lead team proposals. Wieder will focus on market intelligence and research, capture, pricing, and customer service of corporate and new business development.

Before DKW, Wieder worked as a senior vice president of business development at Computer & Hi-Tech and also served as a project manager at General Physics Corp.

Wieder earned his bachelors degree in language communications from George Mason University.
