Citizant taps operations manager to lead new civilian group
New VP Frank Nigro was instrumental in Citizant’s win of the Treasury Department’s TIPSS-4 ITS and TIPSS-4 small business contracts.
Citizant, a provider of IT solutions to the government, has promoted Frank Nigro to vice president of its Civilian Agencies Group, reporting to Jeffrey Beyer, senior vice president of operations, the company announced March 27.
Nigro, a 20-year Army veteran who once served as system application support services division chief for the Army Department, will oversee a newly created group that includes the Internal Revenue Service, other U.S. Treasury bureaus, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Housing and Urban Development Department, and other federal organizations.
His new responsibilities include revenue growth, rapid staffing and high-quality program delivery within these accounts, the announcement said.
Nigro joined Citizant in 2009 as operations manager, responsible for managing the company’s contract with the Labor Department to provide acquisition support for a proposed enterprisewide IT system and also leading an Agriculture Department contract to provide enterprise architecture support for the geospatial segment.
He was instrumental in Citizant’s win of both the TIPSS-4 ITS and TIPSS-4 Small Business contract vehicles within the Treasury Department.
Nigro is a certified project management professional. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H., and a Master’s degree in Business Management from Webster University in St. Louis.
