CenturyLink restructures organization
Jim Ousley will lead new commercial and government group; Diana Gowen continue as head of federal.
CenturyLink, the third largest telecommunications company in the U.S., will realign its operating structure to better support its enterprise customers, including the federal government.
The company announced in a March 22 statement that it will consolidate its organizations focused on its business and government sectors into two organizations effective April 1.
Federal government, Savvis, and national and international Business Markets Group customers are now part of the Enterprise Markets Group. The current Regional Markets Group will serve in-region large business clients and state and local government customers. The Wholesale Markets Group will stay the same.
In addition, Jim Ousley is tapped to be CEO of recent acquisition Savvis and president of the Enterprise Markets Group. Diana Gowen will continue to lead the company's federal business.
CenturyLink includes the former Qwest Communications business.
