ManTech gains DOD extension for anti-terrorism tech work
$17 million extension will further technical and scientific support for Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office.
ManTech International Corp. has been given a one-year contract extension worth $17 million to continue providing the Defense Department with scientific, engineering, technical, and administrative support.
Under the extension from the DOD Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office, ManTech will continue to provide the advisory and assistance services that support the office's Technical Support Working Group, an interagency body that develops tools for use in the battle against terrorism, according to a Jan. 26 ManTech announcement.
The office runs the National Research and Development Program for Combating Terrorism through rapid research, development and prototyping.
ManTech International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
