Hitachi names pair to lead civilian, DOD units
Company uses new hires to build its federal team.
Hitachi Consulting’s public-sector division has added a new leaders for its civilian and defense teams as part of its strategy to expand its federal business.
Mike Craner was named vice president of the defense practice, and Wayne Bailey was named VP of civilian.
Craner has 30 years of executive management and strategic consulting experience in the federal market. He served in the Air Force and was a senior civilian in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Most recently, he was DOD industry client partner at Oracle. He’s also worked at Hewlett-Packard.
Bailey is a former partner at Computer Sciences Corp.’s Oracle federal practice. He’s worked with a variety of agencies including Health and Human Services, Transportation and the Missile Defense Agency. He’s also worked for SofTec Solutions, Deloitte Consulting, BearingPoint and Oracle.
Hitachi formed its public-sector consulting practice in 2010 by pulling together its government business from across the company into a single organization under John Bush, senior vice president and practice leader.
