Harris programs leader promoted to SVP of business development
Harris Corp. has promoted Alex Heidt to senior vice president of business development. He will report to John Heller, president of Harris IT Services.

He will report to John Heller, president of Harris IT Services, an Oct. 13 company announcement said.
In his new role, Heidt will be responsible for the entire business development process to advance the company's IT Services business, including enterprisewide strategic direction and proposal management.
Heidt previously served as vice president of Air Force Programs since joining Harris in December 2010.
Prior to joining the company, Heidt was vice president of Global Mission Solutions at Lockheed Martin Corp., heading operations, finance and business development for a $450 million division.
Heidt, who served in the Marine Corps, earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Arts degree in finance from Catholic University, and his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Strayer University.
He is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
