CMS plans large data center contracts

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is planning a multiple-award, task-order contract for to meet its virtual data center needs.

The agency released a pre-solicitation notice this week announcing an industry day webinar scheduled for Oct. 14. Companies wanting to attend must RSVP by noon on Aug. 26.

The contract will have multiple task-order areas described in a group of documents that are part of the notice on FedBizOpps.gov. Among the areas are:

  • Fee for service.
  • National data warehouse.
  • Seat management.
  • Small IDIQ umbrella.
  • Enterprise operations center.

The contract will have a one-year base period and nine 12-month options, for a total of 10 years. The solicitation number for the contract is APP130023. The documents can be downloaded at fbo.gov.
