A-T Solutions brings expertise to Navy ordnance disposal ops
A-T Solutions Inc. has won a four-year contract worth $21.9 million to provide explosive ordnance disposal experts and other technical expertise to the Navy.
A-T Solutions Inc. has won a four-year contract worth $21.9 million to provide explosive ordnance disposal and other technical expertise to the Navy.
The award from the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training and Evaluation Unit One, known as EODTEU ONE, calls for A-T to provide a team of experts experienced in explosive ordnance disposal operations; advanced expeditionary combat shooting skills; improvised explosive device and unexploded ordnance; underwater mine countermeasures; chemical, biological and nuclear operations; exercise planning; and operations and maintenance of tactical vehicles, small boats and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) robots.
As a result, A-T Solutions will train approximately 3,000 explosive ordnance disposal technicians and other Defense Department personnel each year of the contract.
Navy EOD and Naval Expeditionary Support forces play an important role in the global war on terrorism, said Dennis Kelly, president and CEO of A-T Solutions, in an August 24 announcement. “EODTEU ONE provides the requisite advanced training to EOD and NECC personnel prior to combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and other global theaters,” he added.
A-T Solutions clients include the intelligence community; the Defense, Homeland Security, Justice and State departments; federal, state and local law enforcement agencies; first responders; and foreign allied nations.
