Who are the DC area's top moneymen?

The Northern Virginia Technology Council’s 15th Annual Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards were announced Wednesday evening.

The Michael G. Devine Hall of Fame Award was presented to Nigel Morris, co-founder of Capital One Financial Services and managing partner of QED Investors, in recognition of his contributions to the Greater Washington region's technology business community.

Category winners and finalists were:

Greg Cole, of K2M Inc., was named Private Company CFO of the Year.

Other finalists were:

• Lisa Brown, Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions.
• Dana Duffy, NetWitness Corp.
• Tomas Esterrich, MicroTech.
• Paul Fletcher, Presidio Inc.

Joel Reiser, of Smarthinking Inc., was named Emerging Growth Company CFO of the Year, a new category honoring the chief financial officer of a company with revenue under $25 million.

Other finalists were:

• Robert Aldrich, of Parature Inc.
• Lance Cawley, of Insite Wireless Group LLC.
• Robert Rosenberg, of NTELX.
• Mike Woosley, TidalTV.

Michael Waple, of CGI, won the Group/Division CFO of the Year award, presented to the chief financial officer of a significant division or business unit that is located in the Greater Washington region and whose parent company is based here or outside the region.

Other finalists were:

• David Harvey, of Northrop Grumman Technical Services
• Bruce Jarvie, of BAE Systems.
  

Samuel Strickland, of Booz Allen Hamilton, was named Public Company CFO of the Year.

• Gokul Hemmady, of NII Holdings Inc.
• John Kinzer, of Blackboard Inc.
• Brian Robins, of Verisign Inc.
• Ken Tarpey, of comScore Inc.
