LMI extends its DOD contract awards to 8 straight years

Government consulting firm LMI will continue its assistance to the Defense Department for an eighth straight year thanks to a supply chain contract worth up to $12.3 million.

The four-year award calls for LMI to support the deputy assistant secretary of defense for supply chain integration by providing metrics and analysis for the DOD supply chain, shepherding policy and issuance actions, supporting DOD’s Comprehensive Inventory Improvement Plan and providing general consulting services.

The deputy assistant secretary of defense for supply chain integration is the most senior executive responsible for the development and direction of supply chain integration functions for the defense community, according to a June 20 announcement by the not-for-profit advisers group based in McLean, Va.

The DOD office advances the integration of the defense supply chain through policy development and implementation of supply chain management practices.

LMI also will work to expand the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s current supply chain dashboard capabilities and collect and maintain critical data.
