IBM reveals ambitious channel plans for Netezza
IBM expects half of Netezza data warehouse appliance sales to be sold through the channel.
IBM is counting on its business intelligence and data management channel partners to account for half of the sales of Netezza’s data warehouse appliances within four years, writes Rick Whiting of CRN.
Prior to being purchased by IBM in November 2010 for $1.7 billion, Netezza focused on selling via direct sales to large companies, the article said.
IBM’s business analytics strategy will be focused around Netezza, and the data warehouse appliances will be significant towards business intelligence product channel sales, the company announced this week at a conference.
