General Dynamics to shutter its APG operations
General Dynamics Corp. will close its Aberdeen Proving Ground operation this summer.
General Dynamics Corp. is closing its Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., IT operation, resulting in 52 layoffs, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.
Employees will lose their jobs some time this summer between a two-month period beginning July 15 and ending Sept. 15, according to a filing with Maryland’s Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, the Journal writes.
The Baltimore Sun reports that its contract to provide IT trainers to a school on the base is ending because of the Base Realignment and Closure effort.
General Dynamics Corp. is ranked no. 5 on Washington Technology’s list of 2011 Top 100 contractors.
